Prior to joining Morgan Keegan Technology Group, Mr. Abbe spent 15 years with Jefferies Broadview in Silicon Valley where he most recently led Jefferies west coast technology merger and acquisitions practice with a specific focus in communications technology, wireless internet, and security. Mr. Abbe has more than 20 years of transaction experience and has completed over 75 M&A and financing transactions for public and private technology companies. Representative transactions include the sale of Guardium to IBM, Networks-In-Motion to Telecommunications Systems, Limelight’s acquisition of Eyewonder, the recapitalization of Fleetmatics, the sale of Bitfone to Hewlett-Packard, and public company sales such as Carrier Access, Protect Data, WiderThan, and PalmSource. Mr. Abbe earned his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.
