What is Secure eMail and Why Are you Receiving it?

If you have received an email entitled “New Secure Email Notification from Morgan Keegan”, someone at Morgan Keegan has chosen to use the secure email system rather than regular email to communicate with you due to the confidential or sensitive nature of the information contained in the email. At Morgan Keegan, we value our client and business partner relationships and have implemented this system to protect you and your personal information from undue risk.

Viewing email sent to you through secure email requires that you take a few simple steps to access the secure system as described below. (Click on any of the images to get a larger version.)

Retrieving Secure Mail

Click on image for larger versionYou can identify a message being sent via secure email by the subject line: “New Secure Email Notification from Morgan Keegan”.

This email contains a View Message link that, when clicked, forwards you to the Morgan Keegan secure email site.

If this is your first time to visit Morgan Keegan's secure email site, you will be prompted to create and confirm a password of your choosing. Passwords must be 8 characters long.

If you have received secure email from Morgan Keegan before, you merely enter the password you setup previously.

If you have forgotten your password, return to the notification email and click on the link "Forgot Your Password?" This will reset your password and allow you to select a new one.

The secure email inbox environment is much like any other common web email provider. Once you have logged in to the secure email site, you may download the content of the message to your computer or print the email and attachments if you wish to retain them for future reference.


Secure emails must be read/retrieved from the secure email system within 14 days. After 14 days they will be removed from the system.

You will continue to receive email reminders from the secure email system about unread emails until the emails expire.

Once an email has expired and is no longer available on the site, you will need to contact the sender and ask that the message be resent through secure email.

  • If you are having difficulty retrieving the secure email message, please contact the sender of the email or call Secure Mail Support at 1-866-252-5806 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday, for assistance.
  • If you believe you have received a secure email from Morgan Keegan in error, please do not respond; instead forward it to phishing@regions.com
  • If you believe your account information may have been compromised, please contact us immediately at 1-800-290-2358.
