MEMPHIS, Tenn. (January 11, 2011) – Morgan Keegan announced that Euriah Bennett has joined the firm’s public finance group as a senior vice president in the firm’s New York City office. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, Bennett was head of the municipal derivatives group for Dexia Credit Local in New York.
Bennett will be working with clients throughout the firm’s platform, including those in the Southeast, Midwest and Northeast. His addition advances Morgan Keegan’s ongoing commitment to become one of the top municipal bond underwriters in the United States. In 2010, Morgan Keegan was the nation’s ninth largest lead underwriter as manager on 751 issues with a par amount of $13.4 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.
Bennett has more than 17 years of public finance experience serving public entities as both an investment banker and a derivatives originator. He has helped finance projects in many sectors of the public finance market, including general infrastructure, healthcare, housing, transportation and higher education. A graduate of Stanford University, Bennett received his M.B.A. from Columbia University.
