Morgan Keegan Expands Equity Research Efforts With Addition of Borrmann, Edwards

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (December 18, 2006) —  Andrew Borrmann and John Edwards have joined Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc., as senior equity research analysts and vice presidents. Borrmann is based in the firm’s Equity Capital Markets office in Atlanta. Edwards works out of the firm’s Houston office.

Borrmann will expand the firm’s coverage of small and community banks in the southeastern United States. A graduate of Arizona State University, Borrmann has 10 years experience conducting fundamental and quantitative analysis. He spent three of the previous four years covering financial institutions and spent the prior six years developing quantitatively driven stock selection models for both buy-side and sell-side firms. Borrmann’s addition will broaden Morgan Keegan’s coverage of the financial services sector and complement the research and analysis provided by senior analyst and managing director Bob Patten. Patten, along with associate Evan Momios, covers larger cap financial services providers and community banks from Morgan Keegan’s Equity Capital Markets office in New York.

Edwards will provide sell-side equity research and analysis in the energy infrastructure and master limited partnerships sector. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst with seven years experience in equity research and 10 years experience in energy project development including finance, M&A, business development and strategic planning. Prior to joining Morgan Keegan, Edwards was a principal in charge of initiating and screening investment opportunities for Vektor Consulting and a senior analyst and vice president for Deutsche Bank Securities. Edwards is a graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles and received an M.B.A. from California State University in Fullerton.

Morgan Keegan’s Equity Capital Markets Group encompasses sales, trading, research and investment banking operations. The group has over 300 employees working from institutional offices in Memphis, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville and Houston.
