Glenn and Jump Join Morgan Keegan in Atlanta to Build Equity Capital Markets Presence

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Robert J. Glenn and William A. Jump III have joined Morgan Keegan & Co., Inc., and will develop an Equity Capital Markets office for the firm in Atlanta.

Glenn, formerly vice chairman of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, was named executive managing director and will be a member of Morgan Keegan's Executive Committee. Jump, also formerly of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, joins the firm as a managing director and institutional equity sales manager for the division.

"Atlanta is the key financial center of the South," said Morgan Keegan CEO G. Douglas Edwards. "We want to have a significant presence there, and adding these two industry leaders to our team will go a long way toward helping us accomplish our goal.

"In addition, this new ECM office will complement our established investment banking and equity trading, sales and research operations in Memphis, New York and Boston in serving institutional clients throughout the nation," Edwards said.

During Glenn's 32-year career with his former firm, he served as a member of its Executive Committee and managed its corporate syndicate origination and execution efforts. Jump's 26-year industry career includes 15 years with Robinson Humphrey, where he was a managing director and director of Capital Markets. Jump was principally responsible for the management of the institutional sales team and was also involved in managing the trading desks.

"Having the opportunity to bring in two of the most well-respected professionals in the equity capital markets industry to Morgan Keegan is very exciting," said Collie Krausnick, president of Morgan Keegan's Equity Capital Markets division. "The level of expertise that Bob and Bill can add will be invaluable to our goal of expanding Morgan Keegan's capital markets effort."

Glenn served as chairman of the Southern District of the Securities Industry Association in 1990. He is currently co-chairman of the SIA's Syndicate Committee and serves on the Corporate Financing Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He was also vice chairman, NASD District Business Conduct Committee Number Seven. Outside the industry, Glenn is a member of the board of directors of JGA Corporation and the Board of Visitors of Emory University, and is a Trustee for Darlington School in Rome, Ga., and The Lovett School in Atlanta.

"Over the years, I've had the pleasure of watching Morgan Keegan build great resources and develop an outstanding reputation among corporate, institutional and individual clients," Glenn said. "We are pleased to join this talented team and to help the firm expand its equity capital markets business."
