MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- April 18, 2001 - Morgan Keegan & Company was ranked the 11th largest senior manager of negotiated municipal underwriting transactions (full credit to book manager) in the nation for the first quarter of 2001 by Thomson Financial Securities Data. Morgan Keegan was one of only two regional firms to attain this ranking. During the quarter, Morgan Keegan senior managed 51 negotiated issues with an aggregate par value of over $1 billion.
Additionally, Morgan Keegan moved from 6th place in the first quarter of 2000 to 4th place in the first quarter of 2001 for senior manager of small issues (issues $10 million and under) in the nation by Thomson Financial Securities Data.
