Robert A. Baird, executive managing director, is president of the Investment Banking division and a member of the Executive Committee at Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. The Investment Banking division encompasses more than 300 professionals offering comprehensive merger and acquisition advisory services and public equity and private equity capital-raising services to middle-market companies, private equity firms and venture capital funds. A 31-year veteran with Morgan Keegan, Baird joined the firm in 1979 as a public finance investment banker. From 1996 to 2010, he headed the firm's fixed income investment banking effort. Under Baird’s leadership, Morgan Keegan consistently ranked as one of the leading senior managers of long-term municipal issues in the nation. He currently serves on the municipal securities executive committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).
