Preferred Funds Program

The Preferred Funds Program uses professionally managed mutual funds to create a diversified portfolio structured to meet your individual financial needs. With more than 14,000 mutual funds available in today’s marketplace, Morgan Keegan’s Wealth Management Services (WMS) Investments Department has employed a time-proven methodology to compile The Select List. The Select List is a concentrated group of mutual funds that have met the rigors of our quantitative and qualitative analyses. This due diligence is available to you with a $50,000 minimum investment.

Fund Due Diligence

While much of our due diligence takes place behind the scenes, its importance should not be underestimated. Morgan Keegan’s WMS Traditional Investments Group (TIG) takes the due diligence process very seriously. Our ability to be an unbiased consultant to our clients rests on our ability to deliver objective investment advice. On a regular basis, performance of the funds on the program’s Select List is reviewed and the portfolio managers are interviewed to assure us that the highest level of investment management is provided to you.

Fees

Instead of front-end or back-end loads or other commissions that are common to most mutual fund investments, the Preferred Funds Program enables you to purchase load and no-load shares at net asset value (NAV). In fact, Morgan Keegan has procured agreements with some fund companies to offer their institutional class funds with significantly lower internal fees. Similar to the other Preferred Series programs, the fee level for this program is based on the level of assets in your account.

Performance Review

Once the investments have been selected for your portfolio, we continue to evaluate performance and the resulting progress toward your stated objectives. This ongoing review process also allows us to monitor each investment’s adherence to his/her own philosophy and insures that any changes that could affect the suitability of your allocation are conveyed to you.
